Supply Nation Connect 2017
ArrowFM attended the knowledge forum as well as the tradeshow this year after just attending the tradeshow in 2016. We found the knowledge forum very much worthwhile to get the perspective of other Indigenous businesses as well as getting an understanding of what tier 1 contractors and Government Departments are looking for from prospective suppliers.
At the tradeshow we made contact with people that we had previously been dealing with but not actually met so this was beneficial to be able to put a face to the name. It was also great for us that after getting our name out in 2016 when people were coming up to us asking about what we do, we had people coming up to us saying that they had heard about us and were interested in hearing about what we would be able to do for them. This is a testament to the value of attending tradeshows whenever possible and having the opportunity to sell ourselves to potential clients.
In the evening we had the gala awards dinner which our managing director Djali Bloomfield was nominated as a finalist in the Young Indigenous Entrepreneur category and was up against 2 other quality applicants. Unfortunately, he missed out but the eventual winner Brock Hebberman was very much deserving of the award. We’d like to congratulate all the other award winners and thank Supply Nation for putting on another spectacular event which we look forward to attending again in 2018.
